Il 24 Marzo esce il cofanetto "John Williams & Steven Spielberg: The Ultimate Collection"
Il 24 Marzo 2017 su etichetta Sony Classical uscirà in tutti i negozi di dischi e negli store digitali il cofanetto John Williams & Steven Spielberg: The Ultimate Collection, raccolta di 3 CD + 1 DVD che celebra la collaborazione artistica regista-compositore più famosa e longeva della storia del cinema.
Il boxset includerà la ristampa rimasterizzata di due storici album, "The Spielberg/Williams Collaboration" (pubblicato nel 1991) e "Williams on Williams: The Classic Spielberg Scores" (pubblicato nel 1995), incisi a suo tempo con la Boston Pops Orchestra diretta dal compositore e che raccolgono selezioni dalle colonne sonore del periodo 1974-1993 (da The Sugarland Express fino a Schindler's List), più un terzo CD completamente nuovo, "The Spielberg/Williams Collaboration Part 3", registrato da Williams con la Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles lo scorso Ottobre e che raccoglie pagine in forma da concerto scritte per i film di Spielberg negli ultimi 20 anni: Amistad, Salvate il Soldato Ryan, Prova a prendermi, Minority Report, Lincoln, War Horse, Il GGG e Le avventure di Tintin.
Il cofanetto include inoltre 1 DVD con un mini-documentario, "John Williams & Steven Spielberg: The Adventure Continues", realizzato da Laurent Bouzereau, dove il regista e il compositore raccontano la loro collaborazione e la loro amicizia. Insomma, un prodotto che merita di entrare nella collezione di tutti gli appassionati di Steven Spielberg e John Williams.
